Wintan
is a recycled leather. Cuttings and waste of the valuable raw material
are deliberated using a mainly mechanical process. The pure tanned
leather fibres are then retanned with vegetable tanning agents and
bonded with synthetic resins. This material is finished with processes
similar to those used in the leather industry, which create the typical
look of leather. |

leather scraps from which Wintan is made are normally an ecologically
hazardous waste. They find a useful secondary application in Wintan. |

is delivered in rolls of 138 - 140 cm width, 25-50 meters long, depending
on thickness. The standard gauges are 0,35 mm, 0,50 mm, 0,75 mm and
0,85 mm. |

its silky, soft leather like surface, its pleasant leather smell and
its rich grains Wintan is very close to real leather. It is easy to
work with, to cut, sew, skive and glue. On top of this, it takes excellent
gold, colour and blind embossing. |
